Privacy

This is a personal blog. It does not run ads, does not sell anything, and does not share information about readers with advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics

Visits are measured with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. It records aggregate information only: which pages were viewed, the referring site, approximate country, and browser and device type.

Umami does not store your IP address. It is used momentarily to generate a one-way hash that groups requests into a session, and the salt behind that hash is rotated regularly. There is no way to work backwards from the stored data to an individual reader.

Analytics data is processed by Umami Cloud, operated by Umami Software, Inc. in the United States.

Server logs

The web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These are retained for a limited period and are not used to build reader profiles.

Audio

Audio readings are hosted on this server and served directly. No third-party media or streaming service is involved, and nothing is embedded from another site.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies. A single cookie is set only if you explicitly ask to be excluded from analytics.
